Sonoran Turquoise packs so much color that people cannot help but notice. This stone comes from the Cananea mines in Mexico, just across the U.S. border. It has taken the jewelry world by storm since it was discovered a few years ago.
The pendant showcases two layers of sterling silver; the top layer has a subtle hammered texture that sparkles under light, while the second layer features an oxidized background with twelve meticulously hand-stamped diamond shapes. Stamp work requires great care and precision—there's no erasing mistakes here. Each diamond was carefully lined up with its opposing stamp and the impression hammered into the silver.
